Core Academics

Two great options to prepare you for your future.

At FMMC, academics are given a lot of time and priority so you can be well-equipped for your future.  God said that if we are faithful in the small, He would bless us in other areas of our lives.  The discipline of academics does not always seem exciting, but we believe it is vital for your development as a dependable, successful, and God-honoring disciple!  If God leads you to FMMC, you will not “waste a year” when you could be earning a degree.  Instead, you will be developing discipline, great life-long relationships, a firm foundation in your walk with God AND you can get college credits, too!

Curriculum

Accredited Courses

This option costs more but gives you credits that you can build upon to earn a degree after FMMC.  If you know that you’re going to go to college, this option is a “no brainer.” We currently offer classes through Moody Bible Institute based out of Chicago, Illinois (one of the highest-rated Christian colleges in America with very high academic standards).  All of our classes are taken online or through correspondence with constant oversight from our resident college professor/academic advisor, Mindy Hoeth.

Ministerial Courses

This option will get you ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God.  This option is also beneficial if you do not plan on going to college but want to learn more about the Bible.

Scripture Memory & Word Devours

Every student has time each day to read the Word. From these devotions they will select verses to memorize each week.  The goal is to “hide God’s Word in our hearts” so that it can affect every part of our lives.  We want students to not just know the words that make up the Bible but to know more about what God is telling us by studying the context, culture, and intent of the writers.  By learning how to use Bible study tools, students are equipped with the skills for a lifetime of deeper study of God’s Word.

Foundations

We have found that although many students have a genuine passion for God, far too many of them do not know basic theology.  Without a firm foundation of what we believe, it is way too easy for the enemy to sway us from the Truth.  This is why our staff has developed a curriculum called Foundations so we can know the Truth by challenging our beliefs through study and discussion led by capable teachers.

Gamut

The name says it all – this is a class that covers the widest of topics.  We invite successful people to teach us from their life experiences that span the gamut.  One of our favorite teachers of this class has been KJ-52!  FMMC will equip you with very practical tools for your future by putting great men and women in front of you to teach you!
